We utilize an exciting and motivating curriculum, which covers the central teachings of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism. Practice, etiquette, Buddhist history, development of good character, ethical values, family relationships, value of lifelong education, self-esteem issues, cultural arts, comparative religions, and other important topics for young people. Please sign up your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and their friends. They are the future of our wonderful temple.
The Florin Jr. YBA (Young Buddhist Association) is the youth group of the Buddhist Church of Florin and was organized to meet the needs of teens from grades 8 through 12. The Jr. YBA members participate in religious, athletic and social activities within the temple as well as district seminars, annual conferences, and sports tournaments. Our group supports and takes an interest in all the activities of the church (such as the annual Mochi-tsuki, food bazaars, Obon Festival, and Hana Matsuri) and we chair Dharma School services throughout the year. The Florin Buddhist Women’s Association is part of the Northern California District Buddhist Women’s Association. The Buddhist Women’s Association is the women’s organization of the Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha temples worldwide. The Buddhist Churches of America (BCA) Federation of Buddhist Women’s Associations (FBWA) is a member of the World Federation of Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha Buddhist Women’s Associations.
Purpose to maintain the Heisei Garden, church and parsonage grounds. Ladies volunteer to prepare lunch and help to organize and maintain the facility interior.
